Kenya, Tanzania, Ghana 2009

Laurie Kelley traveled to Kenya, Tanzania and Ghana in April and May 2009 to assess progress in hemophilia care. Kenya's Jose Memorial Haemophilia Society had been functioning for two years, while Ghana and Tanzania had recently formed societies from the suggestion of Laurie Kelley several years before. This visit would help the teams there understand further what is needed to help patients with hemophilia. A side trip to Zanzibar for two days was the gift of a wonderful family in Kenya.
